    This one comes in at nearly 700 pages That's a lot of short stories Boyle tosses out similes and metaphors with a flair unparalleled juicing up his descriptions and his general story telling with cinematic zealIt amazes me sometimes that the whole feel of a good story can be whittled down so fine that it takes up so little space for the telling while keeping its subtlest essence
