This is Superintendent Bone's Honeymoon which ends up being a busman's holiday Excellent And even though I'd read it before I couldn't remember who'd 'dun it' and couldn't work it out

A bit of a slow start but picked after the murders happenedIt felt very old fashioned but was enjoyable enough

Spoiler alert The story is sort of entertaining and I really like the main characters Weird in my eyes is the latent homophobia the murderer is a cunning sueamish narcissistic gay It's absolutely okay to make the gay guy the villain

  6. says:

Amusingdiverting peek into the lives and houses of the nobility in England; the mystery's fluff but engaging enough that I've read the book a couple of times Though it's the sixth in the series readers can pick this one up and follow the plot easily enough
