Rom beautiful Dr Layah Anwar who's willing to do anything to get her family to safety Though neither Layah nor Hud trust easily they must join forces. I was not expecting to like Hud nearly as much as I did Both Hud and Layah surpassed my expectations This is a story unlike any I have ever read Hud is a prisoner of war a SEAL taken by a terrorist group in the middle east Layah is stuck in Ira an Assyrian persecuted for her religion stuck in an unwelcome region She breaks Hud out of his imprisonment and hires him as her guide to freedom There s so much history intertwined into this book the landscapes the political geography juxtaposed to the cultural geography of the middle east it was all so interesting Cliff definitely did her research and made everything feel authentic and possible The romance between Hud and Layah was slow to develop given the circumstances Layah being a refugee and Hud being recently freed from captivity and experiencing PTSD But then the two go from 0 to 60 There s no cheating or other lovers the focus is on the Hh I was left with some uestions about Layah s background and her history Cliff did provide a lot of details about Layah s past I just could have read even I couldn t uite puzzle out how she became the one on charge plus she s just such a great characterDefinitely read this book

A couple of nights ago I had an unfortunate encounter with an espresso The espresso was delicious; its consumption way too close to bed time Oh happy sleepless night however I had a great encounter with a romance novel A heck of a boo

So this book came out surprisingly well I was amazed at how much was put into this book in the short amount of pages This book really packs a punch with non stop action Then there that blazing connection between William and Layah that was pretty great I loved both characters and how they worked well with each oth

There are parts of this read that I liked such as the mystery action suspense part but in terms of character development likeness I didn't much care for either H or h Hero's characterization especially of Middle Easterners was off putting Writer must have put her own prejudices in this book and that turned me off completely
