This is a good mystery read I like the main character Harper Jennings because she lives a life that is full of the angst that accompanies most normal lives She is not made into a hero or larger than life The cast of supporting characters is good as well Something about an old Victorian house that holds a cache of Pre Columbian antiuities is worth murdering for Harper as an archeologist is drawn into the mystery As the plot unfolds there are many twists and turns sometimes it seems as if there are too many Yet it all works and keeps the reader in suspense

    I won this book through goodreadscom and must say that I found it hard to put down The characters are sufficiently human and flawed to make for interesting reading The heroine Harper keeps unwittingly walking into danger but because of her combat training and experience in Ira she has the wherewithal to survive
