    I really do enjoy these mysteries This time Kyle and his partner Danny are visiting now retired Detective Linda at the house in the sticks that her aunt has left to her Not long after arriving they discover the body of one of the neighbours

    Like the previous books the murderer is revealed too soon Lots of repetitiousness in descriptions recaps the whole series desperately needs sharp editing McNease will write something beautiful then follows with one of those recaps

    Oh this book is from Detective Linda's sorry I can't help myself POV and I love that we get to know her and her partner Kirsten a bit Kyle and Danny are visiting Linda at the house she has just inherited from her aunt deep into the rural zone of New Jersey Of course as every time that Linda and Kyle get together they get involved in a crime

    40⭐️ Not the best of the Kyle Callahan mysteries but OK This book should have been book number 3 and Death by Pride should have been book 4 Since Death by Pride was the best of the series it wold have worked better as
