Ible So irresistible in fact that it doesn't take long before Brooke tempts Jason beyond the point of no return But Jason isn't one to easily trust anyone Can he give in to his cravingwithout giving up his hear. I liked it because it was different Especially how the hero is so uiet and withdrawn and the heroine has to do the persuing and I disliked it for the same reason Both characters have flaws and uirks that make them interesting and uniue However if i was brooke i probably would have given up on jason But what she loves about him is that he see s the real Brooke Hart and likesloves her anyway

When you least expect itEver feel like your life took a wrong turn somewhere Brooke Hart is in the tiny town of Tin Cup broke and with no place to stay All she has is a fierce sense of independence So when an e. Not your typical Blaze Harleuin this one has dark themes that are elevated by a smart heroine and borderline snarky humor Broke and homeless Brooke Harte is summoned to the tiny town of Tin Cup Texas by her lawyer after the death of her father whom she never met Living out of her car and desperate for work she bumps into local recluse and veteran Jason Kincaid also known as Captain I loved the character of Captain he s got one good eye practically lives in a junk yard and spends his days tinkering around and fixing things some practical some not And Brooke and Captain work together they are both flawed characters but both accept the other as they are not trying to fix or change each other There s enough humor to balance the dark undertones of the book and this made for a very enjoyable smile inducing read Well done

X soldier named Jason Kincaid a taciturn but gruffly sexy local offers her a job Brooke can't say no In fact something about Jason makes Brooke's sex drive whisper Oh yeahThe attraction between them is irresist. Just Give In is the third and last book of the Hart Series and by far my favorite This book is about Brooke Hart Austen and Tyler s sister who was briefly introduced in the first book of the series Brooke Hart has come to Tin Cup Texas to see the lawyer handling the Hart property to find out about her brothers and the town they grew up in She arrives broke and homeless and is looking for a job Brooke does not want her brothers to know her real circumstances and her past until she is back on her feet especially all of the things she told them in the earlier book In a uirky meeting with the hero she is returning his can of peas Jason Captain Kincaid is a uiet loner who was a staff sergeant in the Army there is a reason he is called Captain where he was injured and has a sexy eye patch and scars He offers her a job to inventory all the metal junk lying about in his yard He fixes up old machines if not creates new and better ones out of metal junk he finds The Captain figures out Brooke s situation and tries to help her and to get her out of his life as uick as possible but Brooke will not take any money she hasn t earned The two are attracted to each other from the start and pretty soon leads to some scorching scenes Brooke wants to stay with the Captain but the Captain believes she is better off with someone better than him There are several reasons that I love this book and its characters Brooke and Jason are not your typical Harleuin characters Both of them really accept the other for who they are without wanting to change the other especially since Jason seems to be living in his own junkyard but Brooke does not try to change it but she actually likes it Brooke s background is dark and sad so than the usual characters I have read in H Blaze She spent most of her childhood homeless and with a mother with alcohol problems and all she is looking for is a family who will want her and need her I loved Brooke s perspective on life for most things even with the awful upbringing she has a positive attitude toward life that things will get better And she has some great bargaining abilities that I envy I thought that her background would make me feel sorry about her situation but it did not overshadow the book like the scene with her last good sweater and glue It s actually become one of my favorite scenes One of the other things I liked in this book was that most of the pursuing in this book was done by the heroine she knew what she wanted and was going after it There were a few downsides to the story there was a lot of information on Brooke but not nearly enough on the Captain We do not find out details about the hero s injury not much about his relationship with his ex wife how he has money since we really do not see him charge for anything he does There are hints given to mineral rights andor oil but nothing substantial and most of importantly what events led him to become a recluse Also there was not much interaction between Brooke and her brothers as I would have liked to see the relationship developing Even with the downsides the story was impressive for a Harleuin and ended the series really nicely In this case the best was really saved for last
