As with earlier entrants in the Oregon Files series you ve got lots of action adventure and detail You don t have to start with the first book in the series eithereach new book gives the basic details such as a description of the ship Oregon over again A review of the crew history is also going to be done too Seems like there s always some scheme going and a bad guy to defeat There s always a few vague references to past books too too bad there never seems to be any clear identification of which book it is so the new reader will know which other book to readOne group of villains this time around with two competing threats one of them a super computer The Jungle had an electronicoptical computer Shadow Tyrants has a bio based computer It s no surprise that Cabrillo and the Oregon save the dayI liked Typhoon Fury better I think but Shadow Tyrants is a pretty good book to spend time reading and keeping it around to read again The Oregon Files series is one of the better Cussler labeled series the CliveDirk books maybe as goodThis book is worth having

Only Juan Cabrillo and the crew of theOregon stand between two warring moguls and global havoc in this thrilling suspense novel in Clive Cussler's number one New York Times best selling series  Nearly 2000 years ago an Eastern emperor charged a small group with safeguarding secrets powerful enough to change the history of mankind They went down in legend as the Nine U. If you have read many of the Oregon Files based books by Clive Cussler you have a feel for the general style and format that he follows That style and format produces very entertaining stories that make the books hard to put down Shadow Tyrants certainly delivers an entertaining story following the Cussler format The familiar characters do their usual cliff hanger save the world thing and keep you engaged in the process The foundation for the story is a bit different this time around and produces some very interesting situations for the good guys A most enjoyable read

Nknown Men and now two rival factions of their descendants are fighting a mighty battle Both sides think they are saving the world but their tactics could very well bring about the end of humankind Soon Juan Cabrillo and his team of expert operatives aboard the Oregon find themselves trapped between two power hungry adversaries both of whom are willing to use shocking. Pretty much what you would expect from one of Cussler s cookie cutter chase books He hasn t written a book in years but his stable of authors regularly churn out cookie cutter plot books This is no different with Juan Cabrillo and his crew chasing one crisis after another across the pages A uick read to occupy your mind If you ve read an Oregon Files before you probably have a good idea of what this one is about seen one seen em all A good read if your looking fo something to do on a flight in an airport at a doctors waiting room etc I often wonder whether Clive Cussler will ever write another book Enjoy

I suspect that Clive Cussler like James Patterson hasn't written anything with his name on it for some time. Even so, I find the Oregon Files very entertaining. It's a Cussler formula but with a better story and better writing. This book is done very well with a nice cast of rogue characters that are just fun to read no matter how implausable

I read the Oregon files because of the ship itself, so I was expecting the ship to take centre stage with it's weapons systems but it played a minor part (It might as well have been a Dirk Pitt novel). The previous book finished with the Oregon sustaining damage and they said it would be repaired but importantly upgraded with the latest weapons systems. None of this had been done or even mentioned very disapp

Such an amazing story, with it's links to a past through to the present day, I love the imagination of Clive Cussler and his partners writing these stories. The poor Oregon keeps getting a pounding but her crew
