Pride in Meryton

A Groundhog Day experience In this story the day of the Meryton assembly is repeated over and over until Darcy finally gets it right Hedgerows What if Mrs Bennet’s worst fears came true and she and her daughters. I really enjoyed this book of 3 novelettes which were each about 10 to 12 chapters long My favorite was Meryton Revisited where Darcy has to re live the day of the Meryton Assembly over and over until he gets it right Remember the movie Groundhog Day My second favorite was Hedgerows where the Bennet ladies do indeed find themselves living in the hedgerows after Mr Bennet dies and Mr Collins turns them out of the house post haste This what if has a pleasant helpful Lady Catherine and a not nearly so hysterical Mrs Bennet Misunderstandings are cleared up as always and our happily ever after is preserved

Pride and Tolerance What if Elizabeth immediately objected to Darcy’s ‘tolerable’ remark on the night of the Meryton Assembly Would Darcy realize his blunder and make amends Meryton Revisited What if Darcy had. More delightful PP variation uickiesAgain Ms Leigh has entertained me thoroughly I love that she writes novellas and sticks them in an anthology together instead of publishing them separately I really dislike when authors publish a SHORT novella and charge a lot for it and wish they would combine them like Ms LeighThere are 3 short novellas in this anthology that provide you with various what if scenarios All of which take a different road to ODC s HEAIn Pride and Tolerance Elizabeth hears the comment Darcy made at the Meryton Assembly and immediately makes her objection known while speaking with Charlotte therefore forcing Darcy to re examine his words and himself This then produces a different scenario in which Elizabeth can see his redeeming ualities faster than in canon and starts to fall for him uicker Darcy still struggles though with the sweet guidance of Georgiana he wakes up sooner Very low angstIn Meryton Revisited Mr Darcy has a groundhogs day experience on the day of the Meryton Assembly and is constantly trying to change things he does to figure out the key to finally moving past that day With a surprise helper Mr Darcy soon figures out what he must do though I must say that some of the things he does are utterly ridiculous yet funny since it is himAnd finally in Hedgerows we see what happens when Mrs Bennet s prediction comes to life Mr Bennet dies and supposedly with the wisdom and counsel from Lady Catherine de Bourgh Mr Collins throws the ladies out of the house immediately after the funeral Though when he does this the Gadiners had taken Jane to London and the Phillips too had gone to London The women were left on the road to Meryton when the wheel of the buggy broke We see as a small child assists the ladies Mr Collins did all this without his wife Charlotte even aware of the circumstances When Mr Darcy is made aware of the circumstances he immediately sets out to be of assistance The story takes on a humorous journey in setting things right for the Bennet ladies and ending with a HEAI would recommend this book a to all JAFFers if you need a break from the high angst stories There is no mature content to fear not

35 rounded up to 4 starsPride and Tolerance Elizabeth confronts Darcy about his remarks following his insult during the Meryton Assembly and the history of their relationship is changed particularly as to the time lapse before there is a proposal and its overall uality What I found charming about this is the nicknames each bestowed upon the other and upon people with whom they interacted ie Mr Dashing and Charming Miss
